Some of the best spy photos we've seen yet of the new upcoming entry-level Ferrari (known internally as the F149) have cropped up on Ferrari enthusiast forum, FerrariChat. The photos, apparently taken by an unnamed member of a U.K.-based forum, show the F149 making its way through Maranello city streets still wearing some camouflage, but not nearly as much as in previous photos.
Overall, the car has lost some of its 599GTB-like features (previous shots showed a car almost identical to the 599), though the long hood and shorter tail fairly well mimic Ferrari's flaghship V-12 entry. As mentioned by FerrariChat forum members, we too can see a little more of the previous generation 550/575 in this development mule (horse?).
In any case, you can expect the F149 to finally make its debut at the Paris Auto Show later this year with a version of the 4.7-liter V-8 found in the Maserati GranTurismo and Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. The car is expected to be a front-engined 2+2 with a retractable hardtop and seven-speed dual-clutch gear box. Click the link below to see the rest of the photos.
