It is the variant of three different generations manufactured by Dodge, a division of Chrysler. It was produced in 1970–1974 in several cities in State, which was Hamtramck, Michigan, Los Angeles and California.

The 1970 Dodge Challenger provides more extended wheelbase and ore exclusive interior. The hardtop model of 1970 Dodge Challanger provides several models, such as Challenger Six, Challenger V8, T/A Challenger (1970 only) and Challenger R/T, while the convertible is 1970 and 1971 version. 
The engine performance provides 225 cu in (3.7 L) six-cylinder, the V8 gives 230 bhp (171.5 kW) of power and 318 cu in (5.2 L) V8 with 2 barrels carburetor. Therefore, the R/T (Road/Track) powered with 383 CID Magnum V8 provides 335 bhp (249.8 kW) and the 1971 model is 300 bhp (223.7 kW).
